Editorial Policy
WikiCooling exists to help readers choose the right cooling and air quality products with confidence. This Editorial Policy explains the standards behind our work.
Independence
Our editorial team decides what we cover and what we recommend. No brand, retailer, or affiliate partner can buy coverage, influence a WikiCooling Score, or change a verdict. We do not accept payment for reviews.
Evidence and sourcing
We base our recommendations on manufacturer specifications, product listings, public efficiency program data, and verified buyer feedback. We never invent specifications, cooling capacities, noise figures, energy ratings, prices, review counts, awards, or quotes. If reliable information is missing, we say so or leave it out.
No hands-on claims
We do not describe products as if we had installed or used them. We use words such as research, compare, assess, and rate to describe our work.
Use of AI
We use AI tools to help draft articles from the sources above. A person reviews and edits every article before it is published, checks it against our rules, and is accountable for it. The WikiCooling Editorial Team byline reflects this process.
Safety
We state manufacturer guidance on electrical requirements, mounting, and drainage plainly and never soften it for readability. Where an installation involves refrigerant lines or new wiring, we advise using a licensed professional and checking local codes and building rules.
Accuracy and corrections
When we get something wrong, we correct it promptly and update the article date. If you spot an error, please contact us.
Separation of editorial and commerce
WikiCooling earns commissions when readers buy through our links. Whether a product earns a commission, or how much, never decides whether or how highly we recommend it. See our Affiliate Disclosure.
